smudie: September 2008 Archives
As a Scot living in Paris, I was slightly surprised to find myself writing a song in Spanish the other day, and I certainly don't know anyone I could ask to sing Un Arból Sin Raices now that it's done.
Still, I've learnt that when words are in the air, it's best just to grab them and write them down without worrying too much about where they come from or where they're going to end up.

Yesterday, I received a CD in the post - a CD for which I wrote the lyrics to six of its nine tracks.
The album in question is Carved In Granite by OrangeColumbo. Email the man himself if you'd like to know how you can buy a copy.
And yes, you can safely assume I'm pretty excited to be able to hold the physical artifact in my hands, and to see my name in the liner notes, after only ever having heard digital versions of my words put to music in the past.
Wow!
