Recently in "electric factory"
This is exciting news for me, as I saw Jen in concert a few years ago at what I believe was one of the first gigs I attended here in Paris, and I'm a real fan of her voice.
At the moment, it's looking like Jen will be performing on at least Outer Space Boy, and potentially some other tracks as well.
I can't wait to hear the result.
Electric Factory: "polished pop, sweet soul, eclectic electro, love and lovers, good food, fine wine, smoky bars..."
Electric Factory was the first group to put my words to music, and the first to invite me into a recording studio to make sure the singer did justice to what I'd written (and didn't make any of the typical pronunciation mistakes French singers can fall victim to when singing in English).
In keeping with the fun nature of the project, most of the lyrics I write for Electric Factory are quite light-hearted. Outer Space Boy, for instance, tells the story of a woman who falls in love with a boy from another planet.
I'm smudie, a Scot living in Paris.
As a lyricist, I write both for and in collaboration with several local artists who sing in English. Some of the people who have sung my lyrics include Nadj, OrangeColumbo, EliotE & the Ritournelles, and Electric Factory.
I'm always on the lookout for interesting new projects. Send me an email if you think we could work together.
Here are some of my lyrics:

- Hog Killin' Time
- Electric Factory
- "Songs in search of a singer"
